Has any one ever replaced one of these i have the column torn down to where i was able to pull out the broken one i just dnt know how to go about and replacing it here is the part if it would help dorman part number 83211

If both halves of the rack are broken, its nearly a full on disassembly. You will need a pivot pin remover. Be sure to tighten the bolts that hold the lower knuckle on while you are in there. If only the plastic upper gear is broken replace it only the lower is harder to do and usually not broken.

Its the actual rack the long gray part snapped where it connects to the rod that goea down to the ignition switch (under the column)

" Who said longbeds cant look good "
