Full Wheel Cover ?

Picked up a few nice full or deluxe wheel covers several weeks ago. Won't fit my rallys but nice shape other than missing a couple of the fake lug nuts. Blue painted Chevy logo in the centers. Also got a couple damaged caps with the lug nuts still in place. Is it possible to remove the fake lug nuts from the damaged caps and install to the caps needing them? Never messed with these before and they are in nice shape except for missing couple fake nuts.

Re: Full Wheel Cover ?

They fit stock 15" factory steel wheels (6 lug in your case) - and they won't clear the locking hubs up front if I'm not mistaken - factory 4x4 full wheel covers have holes there.

I can't answer the lug nut question with certainty, so won't guess.

Re: Full Wheel Cover ?

I was thinking the nuts are held on with a screw from the back. I would have to dig out an old wheel cover to know for sure. Yes, they do fit my rallys.

Re: Full Wheel Cover ?

The fake lugnuts will change out, just unscrew the bolt on the back that holds each on and replace.. I am looking for the fake lugnuts.. would anyone happen to know if they make any reproductions?

Surely someone will have a bent hubcap that they could take some nuts off of, maybe?

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Full Wheel Cover ?

Yep,the fake lugs have screws holding them on. So,they are removable. They screw into the back of the acorn but not into threads. The stainless is notched and folded at the back in such a way that the screws catch on those tabs. The steel screws and stainless acorns "reacted" over the years and often the screws are pretty much toasted. You can use new screws and manipulate the tabs to get them to grab.

All wheel covers are "full". It's hubcaps that only cover the centers.

Re: Full Wheel Cover ?

Not to hijack but do the factory full covers and dog dish caps work with the reproduction steel wheels?(Wheel Vintiques)

That is what I will eventually be buying but I don't want to buy any caps now if they won't work with those wheels.
