Front Tire Size
I've been running P275/60/R15s at all four corners on 8 in. Vette rallys and a 4.5 front 4 in drop in rear. Everything has been great! No rubbing or problems at all but....recently I switched to P255/60/R15s on the front because the 275 looked a little big. Now the 55's look too small on the front but if I convert to disc brakes, that will bring the tire & wheel out about an inch to fender lip the P275s would surely rub. I want to keep the 75's on the rear and wonder what would look good on front? Too bad they don't make a P265/60/15.......Any ideas?

Re: Front Tire Size
Perhaps you could keep the 275s but go to a lower profile, like a 40 or 50?

Re: Front Tire Size
Thanks for the quick reply...I like the look of a staggered tire combo if they are not too different than ea other. The 55's on the front look great as far as width goes but its failing to fill up the wheel well like the 75's did. We are going to lower the front another inch tonight and see what that does.

Re: Front Tire Size
Sounds like a good idea. I'm running 225/60/15 all the way around on my 66 right now and it looks funny. Thats all I had and cant afford new ones yet.

Re: Front Tire Size
Please post some pictures... I've been debating between these 2 sizes recently. Its time for some new rubber and have 275/60r15 on a 8 in truck rally. I have a 2.5 spindle and a 2.5 drop spring in the front so we should be close on the height and bagged in the back.
Thanks Graham

Re: Front Tire Size
sounds like you kinda like a little wider than stock front tire and a much wider than stock rear. 275 looks too big in front, so you tried same series (60)255 and it looked too small. I'd suggest 255/70/15 (1st & 2nd pics attached for ref), or, perhaps 235/75/15 (3rd & 4th pics) if the 255 is still a little wide for your taste. Both will fill up the wheelwell very well, HOWEVER, I am not certain a 255/70/15 will work with the drop you have. I would assume it would if your 265/60/15 that you originally removed worked.

(rear 1/4'' wider on each side...not bad.i'm running 4/6 drop, ece spindles, stock 12 bolt rear end.these rally rims are off the shelf from summit with 4'' backspacing.if i went with 8's on the front it would measure 74''.wider in the front...i no likey.hope the measurements help |

Re: Front Tire Size
woah now. That turf is taken haha
But seriously, do it. That's the logo I plan on putting on after I paint her. Not period correct, but by far the most well known. I get way more looks and conversations because of the logo than just by the truck itself.

Re: Front Tire Size
I would like to run 275/60/15 for my next set of rears. Something a little smaller in the front.
