A local Ford guy friend has a 70's Ford F350 with one of those curved edge beds on it, he said they were common for repo men and accident workers--situations where they wanted you in-and-out of there ASAP. No ramps--no hydraulics--no B.S. Hook the winch to the suspension, fire up the PTO and whatever happens, happens.
