Mine's parked, does that count? I would drive her, but she's in New Mexico, I'm not. I might get her this summer, then she'd be on the road.

I don't know how many on the road, but looking at how many bussiness are solely dedicated to the 67- 72 market I would think there is plenty on the road. I would try collecting DMV info to get more accurate results. Or you could try marketing your product using the web to see what kind of response you get before production.

Thumbs up

Here in Washington State, there everywhere. I see atleast 8 a day. Granted most are just plain drivers but more and more are getting fixed up. I'd lay money down that atleast 1/2 are still on the road.

Ok lots of post of people seeing 67-72 chevys. We all know there everywhere, I'm not talking about the ones driving around that are junk, and the owner is a farmer/or just can't afford a new truck.

How many of them that you see are nice, by nice I don't mean potential. I mean ones that the owner takes pride in and is customizing/restoring it, or has been restored?

There are I'm sure 100,000 or possibly way more 67-72 trucks on the road. But how many of them on the road actually care about them?/are fixing it up.

Also know one can tell me how many where made? And I don't mean just trucks, blazers, and Subs also.

Production #s for Chevrolet series 5-30:

1967: 526,776
1968: 521,486
1969: 643,622
1970: 527,824
1971: 407,843
1972: 828,961

I'm not sure if the 70 or 71 production #s are accurate, from the way this book is listed I would assume they arent and probably should be higher by 100,000 or more. these #s probably aren't the most reliable but should give you a good ballpark. I also don't have the #s for GMC.

I agree with aspegren70 (sp). I have one in the garage waiting for money to finish and it is and will be nice but the one I drive everyday has potential and I may live on a farm and have all my life but I also work for a living so I can't afford a new truck or to make my DD a primo cruiser just to drive to work. With an attitude like that you won't sell too many of your product. You want everyone to think that what they have is worthy of your product without offending them by telling them its a POS. My opinion only. I hope your product is a winner and changes your financial situation greatly. I would love to get into a different line of work other than auto body. I hate it these days.

Wow aspegren70 you totally missunderstood me! Completely! I simply was pointing out them weren't the #s I was wanting, I'm trying to get a idea of how many of these are potentialy buyers for custom accesories that's all. Believe me I'm a poor bastard my self, and I had a 72 4x4 blazer rusty as can be, and I took pride in it! So don't get offended I was tring to point out what kind of info I needed thats all.

Josh thank you thats what I wanted first off, now to find out how many are still on the road. Also a question Josh are them #s just trucks? Or does it include blazers and Subs?? Thanks again Josh

i understand what youre saying as i do see alot of people posting that they see 5, 8, 12 a day. i too in southern california can see about 5 a day driving if i keep my eye open. however i NEVER see fixed up 67-72s. most of them are just work trucks and usually beat to ****. usually when i do see one fixed up its been fixed up mostly original, not custom.

i think youd be hitting a small market.

I see the beaters here but I would honestly say I still see 5-10 new nice ones a week. Here in washington we must have a over abundance of 67-72 nuts........... let us know later what these products are word of mouth is your best advertisment....My 2 cents

The only ones I see here in Pa are mine! Not much of anything around right now. Even in the summer months, they are far and few in between.

The amount of these trucks driving around greatly depends on what state your from. Nice climate states will have alot more.

I speak from experence knowing that the popularity of these trucks subs, and blazers is growing leeps and bounds. You must under stand that I've lived in 8 States, 7 of these after high school.

Gillett WY
Vancouver WA,(near Portland OR)
Polson MT
Absarokee MT,
Harrisburg IL,
Great Lakes Naval Base,IL
NewPort News(Norfolk) VA,
Charelston, SC
Brookings OR,
Madisonville Ky,

And I see more and more of these trucks being lowered, customized and restored all the time. Just here in Madisonville KY, there are 7 67-72 trucks, that are obviously taken care, of and are being restored, and or are. And Every other city I go, every other magazine I read, know matter where I look I see these trucks rollin! LOL Seriously I can't help but notice the amount of frequency I see these trucks on front covers. They're the shiznit!

I know of at least 6 very close to me that are pretty much restored / customized, and a seventh that was in process before it got wrecked - it's back to long-term project again. Half of them are daily drivers, half are more of toys but nice nonetheless.

How about getting in touch with vendors? Adding up the total number of customers of customers should give a rough estimate (although definitely on the high side since I bet most of us have bought parts from several vendors). Think about it; anyone who's restoring or has restored / customized one of these trucks has to be a customer at at least one vendor. I highly doubt many of these guy's sales go to people with no intention of making a project out of their truck.
