Most of my loads ended up going out over a 12K' ASL winding gravel mountain pass, about 35 miles up and down. Climbing and coming down was 2nd gear and maybe 10-15 mph most of the way. The road was so rough that it was just that slow coming back empty. It was a six to eight hour round trip counting everything. That road is all paved today! But it is much steeper even than back then because they just took out some of the switchbacks I sure wouldn't want to haul over it now with that truck and those loads
