What would affect both radio and cigarette lighter?

Yesterday I had both radio working and power to the cigarette lighter. Now the light works on the radio when turned on, but no sound and cigarette lighter does not work. Is there something that would affect both the radio and the cigarette lighter?

maybe a burnt out fuse? I would check the fuse panel. Never know who wired it up some odd way before.
