Made a trailer for the Blazer(PIC'S)
No...not a trailer to HAUL my Blazer, but one for my Blazer to haul.
Took me about 3 weeks off and on and cost me about $1000.00 Canadian to build.(Christ, steel is expensive!) It's 5'x8' with 16" sides.Has a 3500lb axle with 15" rims and trailer tires. Thought it turned out well for a 1st time try. Here are few of it during the build. Ran the wires through the frame so there are NO exposed wires at all. ALL the pic's can be seen here. http://public.fotki.com/blazbk/utility_trailer/

Re: Made a trailer for the Blazer(PIC'S)
I'll just be useing two 2x8's stacked on each other.
There is a channel on each side that the wood will slide into. I was going to make a steel, hinged gate but it would have added that much more of $ to the project and it's ALOT more complicated than just useing wood.

I searched high and low on the net for some FREE trailer plans but with no luck. I finally quite lookin and just started buildin. I knew what I wanted in the trailer and how I wanted it to look so I just transferred what was in my head to what you see. I agree...it would be good for ORV and campimg stuff.

Re: Made a trailer for the Blazer(PIC'S)
Bobby, you`re right about the tailgate.I probably have 20-30 hours into mine and alot of different stock for hinges/latch pieces.
