1969 BB(gone) SHORT WIDE BED SERIOUS PROJECT

New Price: $850.00

I figure this would be about right for a short bed frame and very useable SWB Bed.

**************************************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************

I will have to keep reducing my inventory.

This is a 1969 Short wheel base wide bed that was a factory BB auto. THe BB is gone and in its place is a SBC.

THe cab is very rusty and as you can see it has a replacement clip and tailgate. She is a real BB truck and you can check out my post earlier this past month.

Asking 1200.00 OBO Title in hand... Truck is located in Hearne, TX and would have to be brought to Austin, TX for serious buyers only.

Last month I got rid of my cab to replace this one and now I must let the truck go too.

Please see photos and realize it is rough project.

Front clip is decent, Bed in good shape with only one area of rust I found. Rust on paint is from toolbox above.

Auto Transmission cross member has been cut and moved forward to fit short shaft transmission. Other things are most likely issues but I have not gone through the truck myself to find out.

SO, this is a Short Bed ,Wide bed, that came from factory with a/c and a red and white paint job serious project.

Make an offer Id consider and it can be at your house soon.

THanks,

Let me know if you decide to part it out. I might be interested in the bed if the price is right.

Steve, I'll see what happens You would be #3 in line if I part. There is me of course at #1, and a guy in front of you from before I even advertised it but as a complete truck is how I'd rather let it go.

I've got a bunch of stuff to get rid of as we are looking to adopt and most everything has got to go.

Is the VIN number that is on the glovebox door the same VIN number that is on the door pillar ID? Also is the title in your name?

I'll double check all the vin#s on Friday but from what I recall hey do. The title is not in my name but I have all the documentation to pass it to new owner w/ out a bond of other BS.

Only if you want to drive to College Station on Sunday?

I need some help pulling a bed from a frame and digging a 68 out of the dirt and mud. I could use the help.

Thanks but I was kidding...but your right its about an hour or so away to the North/northeast.

I'll pretty much be there to do just one thing, sell the truck. We do need to have a Austin get together though. Perhaps when I bring the 68 up we can have a disassemble party. I need to pull it apart to sell and scrap.

My "project" numbers must come down to the low teens before the baby comes. Making Momma happy and keeping me sane.

Glad you got them all, I'll get a few more on Friday and send them along.

I just spoke to Mike and lucky me, he is coming into Austin tonight to see his new grandchild. I'll catch him when he is taking a smoke break and get the signature(s). I've still got one of his trucks and the title signature is missing on it also.

I'll send you directions via email and we can set a time for Sunday. We may have to put a tire on the front of the truck to get it loaded as the Passengers side front tire is DOA now. I moved it when i was flat and it broke the bead loose. I've got one I can install for the load.

Thanks again looking forward to it...

I'll show you my suburbans too might let you drag two vehicles home. ;-)

Nice truck.

It seems to be sold, so it would seem to depend on what the new owner might want to do.

Re: 1969 BB(gone) SHORT WIDE BED SERIOUS PROJECT

The getting hosed part was not in regards to getting this done but what the guy did to me. He did not go to see his granddaughter because he had seen her yesterday when she was born and told his wife he had an upset stomach so he didnt have to go to the hospital again. This caused me to drive out to Elgin and back.

He's a nice enough guy, just like me. Lots of "projects" around his place including his place.

The title should be 100% ready to go. I'll email directions and contact information.

Trip went good All numbers match. Looks like some of the work on the roof were from Clearance lights but its not on the SPID.

I'll send photos in a bit and directions.
