Copperhead Modified
Sorry if this is old news but I just got caught up on my weekend TV (I love my DVR!). Anyways, on Stacey David's Gearz show, he modified the front bumper on his Copperhead '72 C10.
He added bumper material to the bumper ends to make them wrap around tighter to the body. It was a lot of work but it turned out pretty nice. I certainly don't have skills to do it. As he said in the show, it's the details that makes a ride "pop". Hope he shows the bumper when it's chromed and done. I watched that show this past weekend. The bumper tucked in quite nice, and filled the gap between the fender and the bumper. I'm still partial to the original bumper fit, however, like Stacey said, it's the little things that will set your truck apart from everyone else.
For a mod like this one, most people wouldn't catch the concept, or the extra work and craftsmanship that it took to tuck and extend that bumper.

Hey Yellow, just for the fun of it, do you think you could tell us what he drives on a regular basis? Not too specific, don't want to invade his privacy,but I'd sure love to know considering the bada$$ rides he's created, does he drive a Classic Hot Rod? Vette? Viper? Plain old brand new truck?

I thought about it on the way home, I said earlier if I was him I'd be driving Copperhead home, but I guess if a guy as popular as Stacey is likes his privacy, there's no way in hell you could drive copperhead around, especially to your house, then everyone would know where he lived. Maybe he still sneaks it out once in awhile & does some 300 yd. burnouts like he did at the raceway on Trucks.

that is the goal for my truck. I fell in love with the body style of the 69-72 at a swap meep when I was a kid and was not even aware of the difference with the 67-68. I am now the proud owner of a 68 swb that I found for $700 and with any luck I will be driving my own version of copperhead in the next 1-2 years

Yeah, I loved the copperhead series too. It sure opened my perspective as to what's possible with some skill, some time, a dump truck full of $100 bills and a mile-long line of sponsors waiting to give you free parts.
Maybe it's been asked before, but does anyone know if a DVD is available containing just the copperhead shows? There's lots of tricks and details in there that are worth gleaning.

Ya, those bumpers are nice. The price of chrome is getting scary though
