Finally, here she is. PICs.

It has been a long six months getting her where I wanted her. She came with ZERO rust issues and a new 350 crate motor. I replaced the entire interior, down to all the fasteners. Then a new old service STC Top, 6" Spring Lift, Dual Stabilizers, Paint, Mirrors, Bumpers, Grille, Lights, Markers, Tires, RIMs, Pinstripe, etc.

Re: Finally, here she is. PICs.

Still need a winch, brake pedal cover and gotta mount the four point harnesses.

Anyone have that new warn winch with the builtin air pump? Curious if it will fit in my bumper.

Thank you. The bumpers are from Kennesaw Mountain Bumpers. They are a TERRIBLE company to work with. Lots of fit issues and they take no responsibility for them. Had fit issues with both front and rear bumper, hi lift mounts and spare tire mount bolt spread. They do look good and I know very few options exist for a 1st Gen, but I would not buy from them again.

Great looking K5! I really like the white soft top with your body color.

Great looking bumpers. I keep hearing bad things about Kennesaw and it is beyond me why they don't take advanatage of this market and produce better products and treat people better. Sure there aren't alot of demand for their product, but there is enough demand for them that they ought to have better customer service.

Are those marine speakers in your doors? Looks like some I saw on Crutchfields web site, but wondering how they really sound before I buy.

Nope, not marine speakers. Just some standard Pioneer speakers. These sound good. I installed the Pioneer AVIC-N2 Nav System, so it has the flip out screen. I like it, but it does not clear the dash pad. I am probably going to move it down into the ashtray area and cover up the existing radio area with a nice blanking plate.

Thanks. I actually struggled with the color a lot. Orange was not my favorite, but repainting everything was going to be a big hassle. Would have had to pull the motor and remove everything from the firewall, so I decided to leave it and just paint where needed. But, the Orange is growing on me. I like the vintage color more and more every day.

Sorry for the hi-jack, but I did Polk Audio db series speakers in my doors (and in my Convertible Mustang). I did the DB651 6-1/2" and they handle 180W and the box said they were marine rated. I also did the DB571 5" x 7" in the rear quarters in the Stang and they both sound great. The ran about $100 a pair and I caught the last set on a buy-one, get one 1/2 off sale. They look similar with a silver grill - kinda like ricer wheels with eight double spokes.

I love the Hugger Orange!! If mine weren't Senior Frog Green, It'd be orange.

Great looking rig. Too bad about the bumper situation as that front is the exact style I'm looking for. I read a post where a guy fabbed his own from 7ga sheet and another where the newer truck unit was modified to fit, but that one was $1400 before the cutting torch hit it!

Re: Finally, here she is. PICs.

I think I spent around $2k on the front and rear bumpers. That was my biggest issue with them. Nearly $2k and they still make them poorly. Plus it took over three months to get them and they never return your call.

I would bet anything it is just a guy in his garage or a small workshop making them.

He made the bummpers for my 2004 I took it to his shop and he put them on its a small shop I would say 40 x 60 with only one door to drive in too. my bummper didnt fit ether he ended up aving to keep my truck for a day why they remade the bupmer to get it to fit.
