Travel tank sending unit.

I’m trying to find some sending units with a pickup tube for my travels tanks so I don’t have to wait till the engine sputters to change the valve. The originals are next to impossible to find but I see that the 55-59 trucks have a 5 hole bolt pattern sending unit with tube. It reads 0-30 ohms. Would that read only 1/3 tank at full on my 1969 gauge? Or should I just swap a 67-72 sending unit on the 55-59 pick up tube for it to work?
