Production quantity question
How would I likely find out how many 1959 1/2 3200 series with 8' beds were produced? Ideally it'd be nice to know how many are still around and being driven. Any thoughts or suggestions for me? -Doug

Re: Production quantity question
Nobody knows. This is the best information that anyone has. I have seen this on many web sites, all say the information, if it was kept, has never been made public. I have never seen anything about how many might be still on the road (or even titled).

Re: Production quantity question
I think you meant to say 1957, not 1959.
All i can tell you is every 3200 was a 1/2 ton with a 8 foot bed. actual production numbers, no idea... Nice truck btw! |

You're right, sir, I did mean to say 1957. Not enough coffee on board...

Re: Production quantity question
you can contact GM Vintage Vehicle Services. http://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/
it costs about $75 last time I checked but they provide you with full documentation on your truck if it's available. From the GM-VVS site: This information is available for Canadian produced or U.S. produced and sold in Canada cars and trucks from 1945 to current, and for U.S. produced and sold cars and trucks from 1977 to current. The bad news: if it's a US built vehicle there is likely no documentation available for it as US plants didn't keep the records for much pre 66 and didn't start keeping full records until 77 The good news: if it was built in Canada for sale in the US the records were likely kept although individual options for each vehicle were not recorded. |
