What kind of motor mounts work best?

Could some of you chime in on motor mounts. What is the best way to mount a small block. Ive seen where most everybody tries to place the engine where the distributor is a couple inches from the firewall. But are you all making your own mounts or is there a mount to buy that works well? Thanks

LMC and a few others sell SBC conversion mounts for AD and TF trucks. As for how well they work and how easy it is I'm not sure. I went a completely different route with mine (subframe)

You can still set the motor up where you want it, level, clear the fire wall, as low or as high as you need it and fab your own from cardboard and the cut them out of steel and weld them in.. I'm have not worked with clips to know what is best, sorry..
