Dream truck 69
Hello family,
so i just purchased my 69 chevy swb and i have to admit im wearing rags just to get her going haha. so i purchased her after driving my dads 67 long bed when in high school and it was supposed to be mine however i was was young and dumb and wanted something new so we traded it for another truck. then 7-8 years passed and i decided i wanted to bring back the classic. i purchased it for 2750 with an extra frame since this one had been cut and welded. after i got it then went to mvd to transfer the title i found out it was on a lien so had to call child support to lift the lien for 150 it was finally mine. so its a 69 chevy c10 however the core support is a gmc and the owner supplied me with another core as well and rockers since they are rusted. the engine is a 350 with 350turbo tranny and it has edelbrock 1405 4brl carb. My plans are to make it lowered with some performance upgrades and have it as my weekend warrior so the project begins...... Last edited by MIKECHEVY69; 05-01-2012 at 09:35 PM. |

Re: Dream truck 69
so I'm almost done stripping all the paint off the truck and was wondering what i need to put over the bare metal? Do i start putting primer on or is it best to do the bondo first? Also i know using rattle can wont come out good however if i use rattle can primer then sand it so i can just get all the body work done, then on my final coat for the primer use a spray gun? My plan is to get it all prepped for the paint because i wanna get it all one color but i don't have the money to paint it yet so should i put a clear coat over the primer or just leave the primer.

Re: Dream truck 69
i like high build primer, takes up the small imperfections that could have been caused by your stripping pad.
