Transmission mount help

I have a 63 C10 that is going to be running a portebuilt dropmember. I am running a 250 with a 4 speed manual transmission. Since it has the bellhousing mount instead of the mount at the end of the transmission I dont know the best option for monting. Dont now if i need to have a custom mount made since my motor is being moved alot or if there is something i can do myslef. Would love to be able to install it all myslef, but if i need to make a new bellhousing mount then my skils arent quite there yet.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Transmission mount help

What do you mean by "since my motor is being moved alot" ? Can't you just leave the bellhousing on the original crossmember and build your motor mounts from the dropmember to the engine, which will be in the original location? With the engine and trans you are using, that would seem to be the easiest to me.

Re: Transmission mount help

The motor has to get raised up to clear the rack and pinion as well as the transmission to get it above the frame rails. Did some looking last night should be able to just modify the original trans cross member .
