Re: Driveshaft heartache
What did you replace? Does your th350 have a 6 or 9 inch tailshaft. A th350 w/6 inch tailshaft is the same length as the 3 speed manual.

Re: Driveshaft heartache
Take a measurement and hit the junk yard take the trans yoke so you can find a shaft with right u joints. This is what I did I went one piece a lot better.

Re: Driveshaft heartache
Shorten and ballance isn't too expensive. Neither is having a one piece built. Take it to a real driveline shop, plenty of people can make a driveshaft shorter, few can do the job correctly.
If you want to spend a bunch of time and money you can search junkyards, then pay to have that shaft fixed.

Re: Driveshaft heartache
Why would you be spending more money getting a one peice drive line at a junk yard? All the junk yards I have been to have a pile of drive shafts find one the right length and u joint size. Took me a whole 15 mins to find mine was in perfect shape cost a whole $20.00. Then you go buy two u joints which are around $10.00 a piece and install them reuse the original trans yoke and all is done. All this for about 2 hours total and about $50.00 with taxes.
