Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

Hi, can you folks tell me a little about rally wheel hub caps like this? This is 5 lug. It appears to be a single piece of metal, and the center emblem may be foil sticker with some embossing or otherwise raised pattern. Is that a factory thing? Are there replacement emblems that are worth buying or am I bound to get some cheap Chinese stickers that will just fall off? I am thinking of changing the emblem to Chevrolet. Are there choices?

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

Originally offered for the factory rally wheel caps, both 5 and 6 lug, either GMC or Chevrolet (Bowtie emblem). After market emblems are available from various outlets, not sure about quality or cost tho. Yes, a foil sticker with an adhesive backing. Sometimes NOS GM stickers are offered on the parts board from several members.

My experience with them is the Chevy bowtie ones are just a sticker, while the GMC ones see to be much stiffer, like the stickers are on a thin metal plate. I don't remember who, but I got the GMC ones from a vendor on ebay. They were very good quality.

I also bought some a few years back from a vendor, but can't remember exactly who it was. I bought chevy ones and installed them over the top of a set of GMC caps, so far so good.

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

I was just looking at these today. I have 4x4 stickers on mine and my truck is not, so I'd like to get bowtie stickers for mine, but the catalogs have them in 2.5" diameter, while my existing ones are 3.5". Does anyone make 3.5" bowtie stickers?

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

I bought this set on eBay for my 6-lug Rally caps, and I'm very happy with them. They are a rigid sticker, similar to the original 4X4 stickers.

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

For the 2.5 inch round size, is there anybody here on the forum who makes emblems? I may go for the ones on eBay, but wondering if any of you guys who does CNC with aluminum or some other shiny metal could come up with something that has a raised pattern for the circle and bowtie? This is what the flat boring sticker looks like. Not bad but I'm wondering if I'm going to see something really fabulous 5 minutes after I order them.

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

Now, I guess the guy in the video didn't know that the square body wheel covers, '78-'87 I believe, that have six pyramid looking fake lug nuts used the same diameter center emblems as the 6-lug rallye 4x4 emblems

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

This is what I want for a center emblem for my 1969 truck. This is the tails side of Eisenhower dollar. Eagle landing on moon. The coin is 1.5 inches, needs to be increased to 2.5 inches.

Re: Rally wheel hub cap center emblem

What years Chevy/GMC 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton trucks had the option for factory 5 lug rally wheel with metal center cap and 2.5 inch emblem as shown in this thread? I know they are not correct for 67-72, but wondering what years they are correct for.
