Mechanic
Anyone know a good mechanic in or around elpaso, texas
 Truck is running great but has a strong hissing sound when I get on it , just sounds wierd. Broke my head for months now with no avail.   Posted via Mobile Device

The first idea that hits me based on your descriptions makes me think you have a pinched exhaust!

Sounds vacuum or induction related. Mine was doing the same thing after I first got it running. Does it do it with the air cleaner off? The first air cleaner I choose had a bar than ran across the center to hold it in place on the rod, every time I got on it I had a hissing sound. Just an idea for you to check, not sure the style of air cleaner you are running.
Have you taken carb cleaner or starter fluid and sprayed around the intake/carb/vacuum lines/brake booster to test for a vacuum leak while it's running?

I think I would try to isolate the sound, like pulling off the air-cleaner and see if that changes the sound any.
Crawl under it and check for smashed or cracks in your exhaust, pound on your mufflers and listen for loose internals. Ray |

The exhausted is pitted throughout, and sounds like it has something loose inside when I hit it
