Question about 72 Big Block trucks
Maybe someone can answer this:
On 72 1/2 ton trucks (or trucks using 72 BB mounts), is the bottom of the oil pan lower than the front crossmember? If so, how much? I'm putting my front suspension together, lowering it with airbags and spindles, and the crossmember is pretty low. Just wondering if this is going to be an area of concern. Pics of this area on factory big block trucks would be helpful! Thanks! |

The oil pan sit just above the crossmember, so you shouldn't have any problems there.

You shouldn't have to worry. The A-arms will drag before the oil pan hits...
