Without the spacers the tires are about 3/4" from the wheel tub with 5.5" backspace. so whatever you do don't go with 6" backspace without mini-tubbing it. 5.5 is standard backspace with the 17X9.5 rim, so if you want different backspace you will have to pay out big time.

Forgot to ask, what about the outside edge. With you spacers it efectively makes it a 3.75 right?

Runs well... working on body.
Plan to get painted weekend before memorial day weekend.
Planned to be done March 7 when I turned 16. Didn't happen. Chose to do better job and be behind schedule instead of 1/2 doing it and it looking like junk.

How much is it lowered and what front/rear components did you use to do it? Absolutely beautiful truck! Marina Blue?

Beautiful truck! Do you like the flip better than drop shackles? you posted once that it did not change ride height.

NO difference in ride. It changed height because with the shackles I also removed some leafs to get it low. I drove it tonight and it rides really nice.

Hey you ever go racing out on some back road out of town?? I was up there back in 96 with a friend Vidoloff and we went out cruising. Pretty fun. Then some guys want to race me and we go out of town a little ways and I blew his doors off but they were still cool with me He had an old firechicken or something I can't remember right now what it was but dang that was fun.

North or south of town? there is a highway right by our house that was redone and its really nice. Lots of people race on it, but there is also a road just south of the airport that people race on but that road has seen its better days. I haven't raced the truck at all yet. Have to get the posi in. I just finally drove it last night and I need to re-adjust the TV cable.

I think it was north of town we ended up sitting on an approach talking for awhile and they said that cops would sit there and watch for races every so often. Not sure if it was north or south....... we took off down the main drag and turned right so I guess it would have been south?? yeah pretty sure. Which ever it was we had to turn our lights off right away after racing. fun town for the little time I was there. We used to go up to Aberdeen for the State basketball games. Met alot of fine ladies from all over SD there.
