Cab replacement what will work?

I have a 1968 GMC 910 SBSS (Canada) and my cab is shot. Not only rusted but tweaked from an accident. I am looking to find a used cab that is not bent and do the metal repair. Not sure which cabs are compatible to use. I know that I can't use the 67 small window. Just not sure about others. My truck doesn't have factory AC and is an automatic. Any advise or suggestions on which ones I can use would be welcomed.

Thanks
Brad

Re: Cab replacement what will work?

I'm pretty sure any 68-72 cab will work from either C10 or C20 (not sure of the Canadian designations) The 67-68 had hand operated emergency brakes while 69-72 had a foot operated emergency brake. The 67-68 had a different fuse box layout. I know the earlier 67-70 had a hinged gas pedal instead of the 71-72 hung gas pedal so there is that but other differences should be minor.

No problem, good luck. Good cabs are getting harder to find.

And I'm thinking the C30 cab will work too. The C40 & C50 are different at the front firewall but I believe from the dashboard back they are also the same.

Make sure you get a cab with a clean title. Not legal to swap vin tags from one cab to the other.

The floorpans on the C40, C50, C60's cabs are different. I believe.
