Well I think I am going to add power steering to my 66 because it really is hard to steer at low speed's. I have been looking around and all the kits I have found so far really do not have everything that you need, like pulleys & brackets. Has anyone here purchased a kit that was complete? If so could you pass that info to me. Thanks

If you already have a 350 sb then you can get pulleys and pumps from another. I would say get one from a truck. The power steering lines work also. And don't forget the Rez Kit. I think the Rez Kit is cheapest at Chevy Duty. I'm looking to do the same thing to my 60 shortbox. I'm new to the truck parts suppliers but Classic Performance has an impressive web site (with tech articles, instruction sheets etc) and a tech line that seemed to know their stuff. What do you old timers know about these guys?

you can use one off a mid 80's chevy or 70's power steering and then get the CPP kit I bout a new crossmember for my tranny from them I had an isssue with getting the cross member at first but then they shipped without charging me to make up for it

Thanks all for the advise and links. I think I will pick up a used setup and the conversion kit. It will save a lot of money and I think I have decided to get a new 40-20-40 seat with integrated seat belts, so the cost is now a factor.

Just installed the REZ kit works great......less than CPP. Includes the pump for V-8.

Which kit did you get that includes a pump?

REZ 1002B.......Kit includes brackets, gearbox, everything.406-727-9267.

I called the phone number listed above and was told they don't have an online catalog. They want $3.00 for a paper catalog so I ordered one. They seemed very knowledgeable about these kits and took credit for doing doing the initial research to develop it. Looks like I'll be ordering mine from them.

They didn't tell me that. I'm just going to wait until the catalog gets here to see what all is in the kit and how much it is. I'll post that info when I get it.

i went to the local pick-up-part on 1/2 of day and got a ps gear box, ps pump, hoses and the "steering column upper and lower shaft" from a 71-72 (this way you dont have to do any welding) for less than $50 both the rez adapter and wolla after a couple hours power steering....

normally when you upgrade one of our trucks you have to shorten the steering column shaft and relocate the rag joint mount. when you use the 71 shafts they are in 2 pieces therefore no need for welding the rag joint mount to the "shortened" original shaft here is a link to better explain: http://http://www.classicperform.com/power6066.htm
