Anyone in Phoenix?

I just moved here and would like to meet some locals. Is there a good hangout spot? What happens on the weekends? Im in Goodyear. My truck is still in project form. I had a big shop in Texas and had to get rid of most all my projects as I am limited to a 2 car garage now and my tools will barely fit in it. I kept my most favorite toy.

Re: Anyone in Phoenix?

They There,

I'm in Phoenix as are a few people who visit this board I've noticed. I just recently bought my "truck in a box" so I'm still very new to this board and picking everyone's brains for knowledge/know-how that I don't currently have about these trucks.

Anyway, not sure about what happens in Goodyear as I live on the other side of town, but if your in the 20's to 30's crowd and don't mind driving about an 1hr, Downtown Scottsdale has a bar district that is pretty happening on the weekends. For car stuff, the the Scottsdale Pavilions has free car show every Saturday afternoon/evening. I have only been when I need to pick something up at the Home Depot that is in the same parking lot, but there are some nice cars that show up there. Maybe I will get to take mine down there one day when it's back together...

Thumbs up Re: Anyone in Phoenix?

Depends on the weather.

I have seen the parking lot full on a warm day/evening.

Usually has a nice turnout of a variety of cars / trucks.

If you haven't been and you are in the Phoenix area it is worth a drive.

Re: Anyone in Phoenix?

QKENUF4U.... Are you on the West side of I-17... How close to that Elementary School? My best friend since I was 4 yrs old, still owns a house on 35th, just off Escuda & 35th (provided we are talking west of I-17 & a block South of Hwy 101) He now lives in North Glendale, But... I was down there back in 2001, might be there again sometime soon.

Where in Goodyear do you live?

Was anyone at last night's show? I only saw a couple of 67-72s...
