I have one side done, what do u all think? I love "mater mirrors" as my gf calls em lol

Nice, guess it depends on your view
I have the first top pic on my 70; I like them tripod and all. And I used to have the type in pic 2 on my 61 Burb but didn't care for the blind spot they created on turns.

The tripod mirrors are nicer for towing than the West Coast style IMHO.
The tripods can crack the door skins but there's probably a way to reinforce it so that doesn't happen.
