what backspacing for bagged 68
im sure its been brought up before..
i have a 68 c10, with a 73 front crossmember and rearend.. 5x5 lug pattern. what kind of backspacing do i need if i bag the truck |

20x8.5 with 5.75 BS for the front
and 20x10 with 4.75 BS for the rear 255x40 front 295x40 rear This is what I have on my 68 but you may want to go to 5.00 BS on the rear. I had to do some mods on the inner metal on the bed to clear the tire. I wanted the tire as close to the lip as possible so that is the reason I went with the 4.75, the 5.00 might resolve this issue. N2Billet left his wheel tubs the factory width & re-worked the inner-tub thats tucked up between the inner/outer bed-walls. I mini-tubbed mine 1.75" & left the inner-tub alone. Either way works.

The '73 rear is 1.5" wider. You will need more backspacing- like 5.5 on a 10" wheel. You can get away with 5.25 on the front with an 8.5" wheel...
