engine

i have a 1970 c/10 chevrolet that was basically restored when i got it , im not sure if i have the 292 or the 250. I think it is the 292 but im not positive. How can i find out for sure?

THERE ARE NUMBERS ON THE BLOCK, A 292 IS MUCH LARGER
THAN A 250, IT HAS A LARGER VALVE COVER LIKE A BIG BLOCK
AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I REMEMBER, NOT FOR SURE THOUGH.

the side covers are also larger on a 292

Aren't the motor mounts staggered on the 292?

look at the side covers-on the passenger side below the head/above the oil pan

on a 292 they're 6" tall
on a 250 they're 4" tall
