The MT will look great, lots of people run them - I think the Weld might look cool too but I would need to see it on the truck.

I like the welds, gonna be a pain to clean but look way nicer and the MT wheels have knock offs that look as good for half the price so everybody is running them

I like the Welds. Different look and aggressive.

Yeah, these are a tough choice! The Mickeys are a great classic (no pun intended!) looking wheel and those Welds look pretty tough!

Re: Which rims do you like better for a '71 Blazer?

I'm rather fond of the MT Classics but I'd trade them for a good set of Ansen slots in a heartbeat. I wish they were still making the MT Challengers... they looked like Anson Sprints but you could get them 16" w/ 4" backspacing which tucks them completely under the wheel wells like this:

The tires in the photos are 305/70-16 (33" equivalent) on a 4" lift. These days that's about as high as I'm willing to lift my ass up into a truck.

I like the Welds. Give an old truck a bit of bling factor. MTs are nice but the knockoffs ruin it for me.

I think they would fit. Anybody know otherwise or have 4.5" BS on their blazer?

Re: Which rims do you like better for a '71 Blazer?

I will be running 17" with 4.5" BS - they clear the steering components and brakes but I don't know about the body yet.

I am not sure if a 16" rim will fit with that much BS.

Re: Which rims do you like better for a '71 Blazer?

Well this decision got a little more difficult for me as I just nabbed some weld super single 2's off Craigslist for a steal! I don't think either rim is a bad choice but I do need to pick one....[IMG][/IMG]

Re: Which rims do you like better for a '71 Blazer?

I initially thought the Welds just because it is an original design and they have a good reputation. But the MTs and Super Singles have the round holes going for them which matches the 67-72 body styling cues. It's really a win-win decision any way you go.
