What proportioning valve do I use????
Well I am doing the 88 6lug brake conversion withe the c20 control arm and so on.
I got a new master cylinder for a 71-72 with disks but my auto parts dosen't show a listing for the propotioning valve. Does any one have a part number or have any info that could help. Last edited by bigo181979; 02-12-2007 at 04:36 PM. |

Re: What proportioning valve do I use????
I would run the factory drum/drum block to maintian the dash warning light, and then an adjustable prop valve (aftermarket) for the reat. This way you can fine tune it instead of guessing, or going off of some one elses's *good enough* homework. Simply installing taller tires in the rear can throw the proportioning way off.

Here is one source
http://www.inlinetube.com/Prop%20Valves/VCT103.htm Other than that quickly, the only place (new-stock) I have ever found a proportioning valve was the dealer. Using an aftermarket adjustable is probably the best bet as Andy mentioned.
