72 Cheyene hubcaps fake lugs?

I have a 72 Cheyene Super with lots of patina. I have tried to put it all back together with original stuff but not show quality. It's a driver. I have a few original hubcaps but they are missing most of the fake lug nuts. I can't find them on LMC or other vendors, Does anyone repop those?

They are not repopped to my knowledge. If you become a subscribing member you can pos a WTB ad on the parts board and I'll bet someone will have a few for sale.

Re: 72 Cheyene hubcaps fake lugs?

Buy some new or used lug nuts with the chrome covers (new or used) and I'll send you detailed instructions (with pictures) on how to install them on your covers. Try to find the one missing hubcap (hopefully with some fake lugs) and maybe you will have enough to do 2 wheels. PM me if you decide to go that route and I'll walk you through it. I hacked up a few before I perfected the technique, you have to cut them off just right and bend the tabs to utilize the extra metal for mounting tabs and get them the right length, but they ended up looking like real fakes.

Don't know if this is a good deal or not. These aren't mine.

Re: 72 Cheyene hubcaps fake lugs?

I paid $40 for four original 71 GMC wheelcovers and am missing 4 fake lugs myself. I've been close to acquiring a cheap single hubcap but have fallen short. I need to become a paid member my next paycheck, cuz CL wants a premium even for a single, oh and cuz this site is AWESOME!.

Re: 72 Cheyene hubcaps fake lugs?

my hubcaps look like those but have blue accents instead of the yellow/gold. Most only have one or two of the fake nuts on them. Looks like the fasteners rusted maybe...
