Arrow Show me your seats - utility, custom, sport, etc.

I did a search to make sure one didn't already exist on the forum yet...

Curious to see what others have done for seats in their Blazers and Jimmys.

I want to see the options for seating in these rides - recovered utility buckets, stock sport seats, newer seats transferred in, etc.

I don't have pix at work to share - but wanted to get some ideas. I can post my pix up when I get home...

Also curious to know if you had work done to restore or recover them how much you paid to have it done or what source you used to redo them yourselves.

Thanks everybody!

Tom

Sure.

Ive got Buckets out of a 2001 silverado up front (pic)
and just picked up a set of 2001 tahoe 3rd row seats that fold/tumble/removable for the rear. I can get a pic of those tonight.

All seats have integrated lap and shoulder belts.....

Are the 3rd row seats you have the 50/50 split type? Also, have you installed them yet or if not when you do, can you please post some pics because I have some that I want to install as well, but do not know which would be the best way to mount them in the back. Thanks.

Re: Show me your seats - utility, custom, sport, etc.

JW,

Yep, they are the 50/50 split type.

I just got them saturday in excellent condition off a gal in Craigs for $75 buck!
What a screamin deal.....and they are matching grey cloth.

Ive been pondering how to mount these...Ive seen on ebay that you can purchase the set of "Strikers" that the tahoes use to mount the seats for about $120. Little steep but....

You could use them like a tahoe does, fold forward or down and be removable for a bike or camp gear etc.

The stirkers are just several pieces of tube that the seats "roll" on it looks like. Somehow they will have to be recessed in the floor like a tahoe, or im thinking i want to mount them up higher to raise the seat up a lil. they would need some good reinforcing metal in the tub to be safe

Don't waste the money on the ebay strikers. I bought the same ones at a local salvage yard for $25. I have two thoughts on how I am going to mount mine. I have thought about cutting a floor section out of a Tahoe or Suburban and welding it to over the present floor with cut outs for the recessed areas. The other idea is to build a spacers for the strikers to sit on. The spacers need to be 1 1/2 inches tall according to my measurements. Both methods will require reinforcing .

Re: Show me your seats - utility, custom, sport, etc.

Southedisto,
I love the Cammo seats did you use a set of utilites to make them or did you score a roll of ckloth from some were. I would like to do a set like that for the burb.
here are the seats I used for my 72 blazer they are 2000 Chrystler mini van seats I used them becuse the passenger seat had a lockable glove box under it. and it was nice being able to remove the back seat by just the push of a button.

that plug gets removed when you remove the top...

There is a guy on ebay that sells friaght liner seats cheap there all new he does convertions so he removes the factory seats to upgrade them ive been looking at his high back seats they have arms on both sides of the seat so it would keep me from puting my arm on the door.
