Frame support

I noticed that the second frame support is somewhat at an angle. Is this because of the track bar bracket? I'm in the process of cleaning the frame and then using POR-15.

Re: Frame support

They are all that way. 64-66 they hired only crosseyed frame assemblers on Federal orders and the assembly QC dude was challenged to say the least.

I figured it was for the track bar.

Re: Frame support

It was an early Equal Employment Opportunity test run....didn't work out so well and thousands of owners are confused as hell 40 odd years later. They moved the crosseyed employees over to the Ford plant to make Mustangs 4 cylinder cars in the mid 70s.
