I put a wreath and garland on my truck. I even took household christmas lights and modified them for the 12v system and put them in the wreath.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Spent Saturday in the rain at a Toys for Tots Car Show/Fundraiser. Spent Saturday night trying to get warm again. LOL

Sunday was dedicated to installing an exhaust system on my buddy's 84 long bed. The headers were Summit house brand, the pipes and mufflers were Summit brand as well.

Sunday night will be spent again trying to get warm.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Nothing truck related...
Got a carb kit and rebuilt the carb on my boys raptor 80...cleaned up and rattled canned the bars, looks better. Took him on a ride up the street. It's his xmas present, but he knows about it, he picked it up with me...he can't ride it until xmas, but he has been helping me with it
Truck is still at paint...who knows when it will be done.
I miss it!

How does it look, the spot you did already. Could you post a pic for me on what you have done. I am going to be prepping my frame soon and I am pondering what to use under the undercoating.

As for what I got done, I drove out to pick up my parts truck for project Zues. It happens to be a rust free truck from Texas, which I found sitting in a field in upstae NY. It took a while to get the guy to sell it but he finally caled me last week and told me to take it away. I will get up some pics. in my build thread unless you guys want to see them here too.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Didn't do a whole lot truck related, found out I have a wiring problem that I have to trace before I can get the truck to fire. I shot my 1st deer in a long time friday on a free veterans hunt that was put on by Jarret's Rifles. Took 2 younger Marines with me as well and they shot their 1st deer. I will have some good pics later when they get sent to me, my camera was acting up. I will have a freezer full of meat later this week.

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Went to a funeral on Saturday. My sister-in-law's Grandaddy passed away. I got to know him over the years and he was a really neat guy. The nicest guy you wanted to meet. I had no idea that he was a decorated here from the Korean war. The world needs more like him.

After the memorial services had a huge lunch at the church. Southern folks sure know how to be hospitable. The food was awesome.

Saturday afternoon I picked up my new daily driver. I bought it on Monday, but haven't had a chance to get it til Saturday.

Went junk yard shopping and found an unmolested cluster bezel, wiper arm, PRNDL indicator and cable, coolant temp sensor connector, lower steering column trim and a roll of in used dynomat. ALL FOR $25. I'm stoked!

Ha.
It seems that way. I have 5 GM vehicles in my driveway/garage and they are all black. Actually I hadn't planned to buy black again. I looked at all the colors GMC had, and all I liked was red, white or black.

I like red, but didn't want one so it was white or black. I couldn't find a white one with the options and interior color of my choice. This one was equipped with 98% of what I wanted so I took it.

The incentives were just too good to pass up.

Yo! Saia delivered my first set of industrial shelving on Friday and I assembled and installed them over the weekend. Took nearly 25 years to afford this! How very nice!

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

Started it up, disconnected Smog pump again(I connect it every once and a while to keep out the cobwebs), checked throttle cable, picked up some brake parts/fluid for the new flex line to go in, and grabbed a bit of exhaust stuff to patch and rehang till the spring.

Tues hopefully arriving will be a new tach, filler door, and e brake cables

Re: what did you get done 12/6/09

The only thing truck related I did was take it on a hardware store trip on saturday and throw a bunch of messed up drywall in the bed today.
I worked in my garage and finished taping, mudding, sanding and painting the second section. Then worked in the basement ripping out a walls worth of fresh drywall to fix a screw up the "pro" we hired had left for us.While I was at it,I cut out a section of the ceiling too so I could fish some wire to the new lighting "we" decided "we" needed .It's all boarded back up,bright as midday and ready for tape and mud tomorrow am....joy.
