Re: Blazer for N2TRUX,...

Thanks! Go ahead and dangle a carrot in fron of the donkey.

Actually he has ran that several times. His asking price is getting closer to what the market will net. I would love to own it at a decent price.

Then all I would need is a SWB Crewcab to tow them with...

Re: Blazer for N2TRUX,...

I have noticed it on ebay several times also . I like the truck . I like a cowl hood on a Blazer or a Crewcab . Not so much on reg cabs but the hood flows well with the long roof . It looks like it would be a fun truck to own . It does look like it would go well with Kens Cheyenne . I wonder what Kens Blazer is going to look like after the 73/74 front end conversion ?

Re: Blazer for N2TRUX,...

I am guessing the RARE part is that the VIN states it to be a GMC Jimmy with a 350 not a Chevy Blazer with a 454 in it.

It is listed a a Chevy, but is a GMC badged as a Chevy
Listed as a Blazer but it is a Jimmy badged as a Blazer.
Listed as 454 powered, but BBC's weren't availible on Blazer/Jimmys,
Listed with a new 700R4, but they were never offered on any 2WD Blazers- I am nitpicking here..
And all this came from the factory...
Not to mention the 87-91 seats and console.... I digress...

Don't get me wrong, It IS a nice truck I have seen it too, but he should be listing more of this info in the ad.

Re: Blazer for N2TRUX,...

He got the year right as a 1978, so it has the correct trim...

Looking at the ad, it doesn't really look like it is supposed to be a restoration. There is a lot of things on that one I would do if I was to build (uh, finish) another Blazer. On my 77, I had a cowl hood, later model seats, 700R4 (out of an 82 2wd Blazer), and a roof clip from a 73 Blazer. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Re: Blazer for N2TRUX,...

This is what is misleading in my opinion:
"This Blazer is Extremely Rare and Very Hard to Find in this shape with these factory options"

A) it isn't a Chevy Blazer it is a GMC Jimmy
b) no K5 was ever offered with a BBC from the factory.

So the factory motor is long gone along with the factory GMC emblems and grill and tailgate script.

Don't get me wrong, it is a nice Jimmy, and I have one in my garage that I have a 89 interior that is going in it. It also has a TPI conversion and soon to have a remote turbo installed. I think the guy is just confused on what he has and is basing it on what he was told and what he sees...
