Check it out, very productive weekend. I still have to put all of the trim on, but that will be a project for another day.

First picture is how it started. 1971 GMC Jimmy, PO fubarred the grill, and dented the hood, so it has a 68 Chevy front now! I swapped the hood, grill, and bumper. Fenders are the old ones.

Second picture is when the wife asked what the heck I was doing. I assured her that it hit the road again.

Third picture is how it looks today. Trim work left, but it drives.

Fourth picture is the whole stable. Only two, but I am happy with them both.

That does look better.

Maybe if the GMC grill was still chrome I would prefer it...but you were right, this looks bad ass.

Looks great. Did you need to change the core support for the 67-68 hood and grill to work? I have a 72 GMC that I will be changing to 68 hood and 68 grille.

I think it looks a ton better too. In the first pic it's tough to see that damage that was done, but if you look in the middle toward the bottom you can kind of see it. The PO reareneded someone with a receiver hitch that stuck out, it crushed the middle of the grill in. I had fixed it with a come-along and a tree, but it still looked like crap when you got within 10 feet.
I still think that it would look really cool with a chrome 67-68 GMC grill, maybe the next one

Thanks for all of the comments everyone. It feels really good to get it out of the garage. I drove it for the first time without the top today. It is really a fun ride. I have bags waiting to go on, but I will have to drive it for a couple weeks before I tear it apart again. The bags may end up waiting until winter!

It looks great. I always like the 67-68 front end on the 2wd blazers. Here's a pic I saved from this board. I can't remember who's it is, but I like it.

Thanks for the comments guys, another couple weekends of work and I will be able to drive it more. It's only been on the road four or five times since I have had it, that's almost a crime! It will have to be a daily driver while I put the 700r4 in the pickup.

That ones nice Hugger, I think the 67/68 hood looks a lot better on it. My plan is to put the eyebrow and hood trim on too, but that one looks god with only the grill trim and the headlight buckets. I have the trim holes, so no backing down now.
