Info or pics on blazer back seatbelts

I am going to install my seat belts, but I can't find a pic of how these attach for the back seats. I know they attach to the 4 seat brackets behind the seat, but do they attach in point "A" or point "B"???? And do they attach the same on each side of the belt (male and female)?
Thanks-
Diane

Talking

We have two 72 seats that are set up like Frencblue72 described. The outside male belts bolt to the ends of the seat and have a flap over them. Two female belts bolt to the left inner rear support, and one male/female belt bolts to the right inner rear support. The outside supports have no weld nut in them.

The 71 seat that I am shipping to Mark is set up the same as the two 72's.

I am not sure if that is a 70's setup that you have and that is why you have four supports with weld nuts on them.

Does your seat have a location on the ends for belt attachments?

Jim

Some of the rear seats only have two rear mounting brackets and some have 4. You should bolt your belts to the "A" point. I have never seen a rear seat with three belts, but that doesn't mean they don't exsist. Chevy wasn't exactly consistant in this era.

Smokekiki- One seat belt that goes all the way across? Do you mean it only has one set of belts for ONE person on the whole back seat? If so that is definately wrong. I think the 71/71 rear seat came with only 2 legs, but I may be wrong. Do you have any pics? Also the bed of the blazer has factory bolt in spots for the middle two brackets on my blazer. How about a 71/72 blazer?

It has 1 seat belt.It is long enough to go from the left side to the right with 3 people on the seat!It has the GM tag on the belt and GM on the buckle. There is no where to attatch belts in the center section of the seat.I can't post pics till next week.

My blazer didn't come from the factory with seat belts. I bought it from the original owner who told me he bought all the seat belts from the dealership and paid a OUTRAGEOUS amount to have them install them. They installed them wrong! I am just trying to find info on the "right" or "factory" way to install them. I am pretty sure one seat belt all the way across the back seat is wrong tho'. I think the back seats had 2 sets in all the years.

I will try to post a picture next week.It even has the proper date code on the belt. For what other reason would there be a seat belt that long? When dealing with GM products built before 73 nothing is set in stone. With the right person ordering the vehicle,GM would do a lot of off the wall things for You,not like today.

Wow, one belt is crazy. I wouldn't doubt it though. Seat belts weren't considered as important back then as they are now. The seat I bough only has the two legs and their is no place to mount a belt. I was going to use the four lets (my bed has mounting points for all four) to mount the belts to but only the outside two will be attached to the seat.
