8 Track Mounting Brackets
I have for sale what I believe to be the most accurate set of reproduction 8 track mounting brackets if you are installing an original under dash 8 track player. Brackets are made from 12 gauge satin coat steel. Cut on a water jet table. All holes already in place. broke to allow for perfect mate up to dash and heater. Will allow the right hand bracket to mount to existing screw under heater controller.
Asking price is $75.00 for all three brackets needed. Shipping extra. Paypal preferred. Can ship from Arizona in three weeks if you can wait. Have a look at the photos of the bare brackets and final install pictures of my original 8 track player installed in my 72. Brackets will not be painted. Lots of people have been asking where the third bracket attaches. On the bottom of the metal heater plenum is a screw that holds the plastic air diffuser on. Remove this screw. The bracket has an elongated hole that will match up to this screw hole. Attach the bracket with the same screw that you removed.

I would like to mention member Budnikguy as the one who supplied me with photos of what I believed to be an original set of brackets.
I reproduced them from these photos and test fit four different sets of brackets till I had what I was happy with. Some of his bracket photos are attached. |
