3speed on from I-6 to V-8
I"m getting ready to replace the old 292 in my 67. I was looking at the brace from the clutch pedal to the side of the engine block. Will that bolt right up to the small block? I assume it will but haven't got around to lookin at it. I think my starter is also hooked up to the tranny. I assume I will keep it that way on the 3speed. Anything else to look out for on the swap.?

Z bar?
You talking about your Z bar that goes from the frame to the block? The I6 won't work. If you put your V8 in the I6 position, try to find one from a 4X4 V8. All the other parts will work. Look for a heavier clutch.
good luck, scott

zbar
I know where a truck is that is a 65 or 66 with a V8. could I use the brace or Zbar from it?? Is the part that hooks on the the block universal as long as it's from a small block? Ie can I get one off a full size car that was standard? Does it seperate or do I need the whole pedal?
