When i turn it on, it sounds like a donkey getting kicked in the you know what. Seriously, if I were to immitate the sound of a donkey, that is what it sounds like. I've switched it to all the different settings and the sound contiues...the motor is still working but I am wandering if it is going bad? Can anyone else advise me on this? Could it be a bad heater fan? Im thinking that I may need to get in there and lube everything up.

The motor bearings are probably dry but I would suggest changing the motor out instead of trying to oil it.

Most likely the motor. There is nothing else in there that could make such a noise. You could try to lubricate the bearings however they can be tough to get to inside the motor housing. Another cause may be the blower wheel rubbing against the housing. Does the pitch of the noise change with blower speed? Will most likely need to replace the motor.
