Re: My 66 Mustang
Nice! There's a few of us around here.
That's a heck of a nice start. Mine is also a V8/T5 car I converted from an automatic.

My dad gave it to me in 1993 and I used it as a daily driver through HS and college. Originally had a 289 and C4...parked it when I blew the 289 around 1999. It sat at my parents house until 2004 when I started the whole restore. Got it back on the road in 2008 and I was able to get paint and body done in February this year. As everyone on these forums knows it's a never ending project.

Re: My 66 Mustang
I bought mine in 2012. I've put about 35K miles on it, mostly from 4 hot rod power tours. I've been as far as 18 hours from home!
I bought a nice paint car and redid the interior, swapped to a T5, rebuilt the rear end, rebuilt the front suspension, replaced the timing chain and went from a 2V to a summit 4V on an edelbrock performer, and added vintage air. It's a nice cruiser. The engine is an old 0.040 289 rebuild, and it's tired. I rebuilt the T5 about 20K miles ago, it ran low on fluid and is not happy. I plan to replace the motor with a roller 302 and the T5 with a T5Z and bump the rear again from a 3.25 to a 3.55. All down the road, car still runs and drives decent. I'm in the middle of a huge shop build right now. I highly recommend street or track for suspension components. They have everything from mild to wild for handling. I have their roller spring perches, GT front and rear springs, and their Solid mount Strut rods. I also did the "shelby drop."

Re: My 66 Mustang
Thank you, looks awesome. I have always wanted to do a Power Tour just have never had the time....some day. As much as I love the car shows I definitely prefer the classic cruises. Here is one I went on with a Classic Mustang Group before Covid. Once the C10 is ready I am hoping to do some with the truck.

Re: My 66 Mustang
I did this 66 FB a number of years ago. It was a great project. It made the cover of Car Craft magazine Feb 2008.

Re: My 66 Mustang
Thanks for the kind words. I kind of wish I hadn't sold it. Sold to a guy in CA. And then after awhile it ended it up in the land down under.
