If the gas tank is out of the cab.....will the seat slide back a little more? I need to keep it as low as possible, due to a 4" chopped top.... L

Crazy
If you mount it into the factory front holes, you'll need a 1" spacer for the rear mount and have to drill a new hole for the rear mount. In your case, I would use the late model bracket slid back to where it will mount flat on the floor. You'll need 4 new holes, but it will sit approximately the same height as a stock bench, maybe a hair lower.

As far as front to back movement, the top of the seat hits the cab ridge before the tank , so it would be a very minimal, if any, amount of extra space that the removed tank would give you.

Check my site and it'll make sense. I used the stock front mount holes.
