glove box...
what have you guys done to replace the glove box?
don't really want the card board... have seen people who fabricated there own...

I fabbed my own. I bent a flat piece of sheet metal to make the bottom and top kinda looked like a C with a flat top and bottom. Then put it in and welded in the sides. Carpeted the whole inside. Lots more room and no sagging like the old one. Looks great wish I had a camera to show you it.Just make sure to measure twice so that you don't get it in and find that you can't connect defrosters or a/c. Good luck.

I remember years ago (right after the dinosaurs died) that someone was making them from molded plastic. Wish I would have gotten one then. Have never been able to find them again.

I fabbed mine from an old stop sign (good thick aluminum material). For the inside, I used balck felt, from my wifes' sewing supplies.

I'd just go with the cardboard type. They're strong when new.
