New Holley carburetor install question
When I bought my 71 C10 the PO already had a Holley 750 cfm carb on it. I'm going to change the 750 carb with a Holley 670 cfm carb. On the 750 the PO had the pcv hose running to the back of the carb (power brake vacuum port) and the other vacuum source running to the distributor with the full manifold vacuum port blocked off in the front.
The 670 carb has all the same ports as the 750 but it also has a port labeled PCV. My question is can I hook the 670 up the same way my 750 was and leave the pcv port blocked off on the 670 cfm carb? Or will I have to move my pcv hose from the back of my 670 (power brake vac port) to the port labeled pcv on my new 670 carb? Last edited by Jayschevy; 03-28-2013 at 09:34 PM. |

Re: New Holley carburetor install question
you can hook up either way. if you have power brakes it would be easier to move the pvc to the front. if your power brake booster is hooked up to the manifold behind the carburator just leave it like it is and block the front port.
