Re: Fuel Pump Install Question?
ive only dealt with small blocks, but i usually put a small dab of silicone on the pushrod and it stays in there.

Re: Fuel Pump Install Question?
I usually just glue the gasket on the pump, take an old hacksaw blade & bend it into an arc. Hold the shaft up with the hacksaw blade & slide the pump into place. Once you get the pump on far enough that the shaft wont drop, pull out the hacksaw blade. Been doin it this way for years with excellent results...

Re: Fuel Pump Install Question?
there is no bolt hole like that on a big block.
I've always just packed the cavity with grease, that'll hold up the pump pushrod. |

Re: Fuel Pump Install Question?
Make sure the cam lobe that drives the pump arm is on the low side. This avoids the tension on the pump arm when installing.
