Radiator support

Could someone please explain the difference between a 69-72 Chevy radiator support vs a 67-68 Chevy radiator support? Can they be interchanged? I have two good 69-72’s but need one for my 68 project.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Radiator support

The 67-68 had the slant hood which made the support different

Re: Radiator support

The difference is how the headlights mount. 69-72 has a bracket that pushes the headlight out about 2" 67-68 doesn't have this and the headlight mounts right on the main support. Converting a 69-72 to a 67-68 can be done, but it requires removing the bracket then reshaping the headlight hole.

Re: Radiator support

I would be someone on here has one that they would trade. I did a similar swap when I got my Blazer. For some reason I ended up with a 67-68 and needed 69-72. Traded one of the board members straight up.
