Here's mine. I can't take credit for it though. The PO frenched in a set of 1940's chevy pickup tailights.
As for the above picture Maybe one on each fender would look okay.

Those mustang lights have always bugged me. They don't fit the truck at all.

Some things are just best left alone! LOL
Actually, some of the smaller, earlier GM truck TLs look good...and they are available new repro reasonable.
The repro of our original TLs and brackets, in stainless, hold up well because they can't rust and no worry about paint chipping/pealing.

To fit like the jwill41's above, you have to have the bumper cut and narrowed (then rechromed. I have always liked that look on the stepside. You can also paint it to match after cutting like below

I had a picture that showed a stock uncut (narrowed) one, but I can't find it right now. That was the way I was originally going when mine was a stepside.

Re: Stepside Tail Light, Stock or Custom,What are u Using

OK...ya got me thinkin' (which often gives me a headache)...I have to replace my lights also, even the brackets are all beat up. I could go back original but...

Please don't shoot, remember I'm just THINKING...what do you guys think about using VW Bug tail lights and mounting them on the rear fenders? The contour should be pretty close, wiring wouldn't be that hard
