I need an angle on a decent OEM pump replacement and hoses. Specifically I'm wondering what to do about hoses in particular. I know the driver's side fender can make fitting the hoses to the gear box....interesting.

Std 350 but not sporting the stock pump. I have my accessories in the post 72 positions - long water pump, alternator on the passenger side up high, but the ps pump is down in the regular position on the driver's side.

Off the shelf NAPA replacements? or should I go looking somewhere?

Off the shelf Napa should be fine.

Figured. I just don't want to go back and forth (and back and forth) with them on PS hoses.

Also I know this isn't the original pump. I may have to pull it and get a part number.

AH...frustrating. Because all of my accessories are post '72 I had to go with a '73 pump. That was the only one that had the mounting holes to match the original pump and a return line at the base of the pump rather than coming out the center. The older setup is unfortunately what would match the truck, but I don't have any brackets or a water pump to match that. Otherwise I'd need to replace all of my brackets, accessory locations, and my water pump to match the PS.

New lines are apparently universal now, but the return line tube off of the gear box sits too high (needs to be bent 90 closer to the 5/8" fitting). Luckily the idiot who owned my truck before me cut a chunk out of the inner fender so it wasn't an issue, but othewise I'd be throwing that part away and going with a custom bent fitting. They probably did that to make the late model PS setup fit in the first place.

Anyway jobs done and no leaks.
