How much do you pay for insurance

self explanitory please include age how long you've been driving and year, model, and engine your truck came with, also the state where you live and any driving history that'll affect how much you are paying (no need to be specific just mention that its higher because of it, we all speed some of us just get caught) ann maybe insurance company as well.

i'll start i'm 19 driving 2 or so years, one speeding ticket, drive an '84 silverado swb 305/700r4, NC, i don't actually know my company... and i'll be damned if my parents (i'm a driver on their policy its cheaper that way) don't know how much it is a year or month (I WILL EDIT THIS WITH ALL THE INFO WHEN I GET IT)

thanks guys i'm just curious nothing else

and is anyone using a special "agreed value policy"?

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

I carry classic insurance on my 77'
$120.00 a year with zero deductible and a $15,000 theft/total guarantee.
I'm old and have a clean driving record.... that helps!

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

123$ a month with state minimum for just my truck. Liability was 180$. i go through farmers and it was by far the cheapest and the only one who would offer state minimum. I'm 18 and from Wyoming with a perfect driving record. my trucks an 1985 k2500 gmc. it also cost me 120 to plate my truck, while my car was only 20 bucks.

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

I'm 18 and I drive a '73 C20 and a '90 Bronco II 4x4. I'm on my parents USAA insurance plan with a technically 'clean' record. I pay 50/month for the Ford and 40/month for The Chevy for liability and comp. I think it's too much.

be careful on your parents policy if you have a bad accident you could cost them everything

I know that first hand. I screwed up when I was 20 and that was the last straw for the insurance company (Allstate). They told my parents either I get my own policy or they drop the whole family, I got my own policy with Allstate and cost me about $400 a month for 3 yrs with 2 cars. Be careful out there.

~$250 for full coverage every 6 months! I have a $10,000 pay out if I total it. I just have to show receipts and pictures. I have plenty of both.

$400 a year for full coverage with 10k payout. But that is also including full coverage on my motorcycle. I can't remember what it breaks down to for just the truck.

38 times, are they pulling you over to get your moms phone number or something. Seriously 38 times, I would get a different vehicle or something. Maybe a yugo or a festiva.

agreed. with the understanding of our current law enforcement, and my involvement, they tend to pull your license here for that many strikes. a beat up yellow yugo would be perfect for him

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

I'm 18, 1 speeding ticket [94mph in a 70mph zone] in my '82 c10 on my mother's plan [Around $200+]. when i moved out [age 17] i sold my truck and bought a '83 Caprice Classic and got my own policy with geico, they were robbing me with $350+ a month for basic liabilty. i got the same policy for my Caprice with a little company connected to dairyland and was only charged $300+ for the first month and $123 for every month after.

I've also heard the color of your car affects your price too. I.E. Red is a sport color and sport=fast=dangerous=exspensive insurance. any truth to this?

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

just turned 24.
i have a 97 malibu and a 94 astro van. i was at $180 a month with esurance til march 23 when my ticket i lost the month earlier showed up. my accident from sept came up as well. Premium jumped to $370 a month and i ended up with geico at $260 a month.

the malibu is my cop flag. gets me pulled over nonstop for no reason. the van is just my backup/drive family around vehicle.

$53/month for liability only on my 1987 Silverado R10 (305/700R4) through Allstate. 20 years old, married, good driving record, multi-car discount.

I pay around $180/mo for all 3 of my vehicles (91' Honda Accord EX, 99' Nissan Maxima SE, 87' Chevy R10).

Re: How much do you pay for insurance

Just switched from progressive to Geico. Paying 77 a month for the following coverages:

250,000/500,000 Liability
100,000 Property Damage Liability
25,000 Basic Economic Loss
100,000/2,000 Additional Personal Injury Protection
10,000 Residual Medical Payments
250,000/500,000 Uninsured Motorist
No Deductible Basic Personal Injury Protection
50 Deductible for Comprehensive

All this is on an 83 Suburban with 1 accident on my record from a couple years back. I am almost 22
