Differences in 72 4x4 swb frame and 67 gmc 2wd swb frame?

I have a rusted out 72 4x4 frame and found a 1967 2wd gmc frame with rear leaf springs. What would be the difference besides the front end? Easy swap or not? Thanks

Yes,it`s all doable,as long as all the 4wd specific stuff is usable. You need the motor & transfer case crossmembers. The frame tapers in on a 4wd,so the springs set outward on the axles more on the 2wd.If you`re using the rear from the 4wd the leaf saddles will need relocated.`67s don`t have a dimpled rame to mount a`68-up power steering box.You need to space the box off the frame or dimple the frame.

Attaching Front Leaf Springs. I noticed on the 67 frame I picked up the frame isn't flat where the back shackel on the front leaf spring would attach what would you do to fix this problem? Weld in a plate?

Heat it, flatten it, drill the hole for the shackle; I put a small plate on the outside of mine.
