What I want to do to my truck, am I crazy?

I've got a 65 c10 long fleet that I finished restoring 2 years ago. I love it, but it's 2wd, and I want to move to Colorado soon. I have a 93 dodge diesel for my work truck, also 2wd. I intend to never sell the chevy so I want to make it how I want. So I want to convert it to 4wd but I love how the coil springs ride on all four wheels. My question is this, would it be too much work to keep the front suspension coils? And would the rear trailing arms still work in a 4x4 application? I also have the 3 speed with overdrive, would a transfer case work with this transmission? I have the fab skills for all this work, just wondering if anyone has done a 4x4 with all coils and what it entails? I also would like to put a 12 valve cummins in there someday, but thats another story...
Let me know what you guys think.
